[::..I am BACK~..::]

Yoohoo~ Re-hi Singapore. I've returned for the third day already, but i feel as if my soul is still back in langkawi. it's so damn boring in SG, n i gotta work again. Spent a memorable time in Langkawi with my fellow classmates, and these are the nicknames ah cheng gave to each and every one of us:

Me = Sick Machine
Eewei = Healthy Machine
Joycie = Sinus Machine
Ah cheng = Gan Jiong Machine
HP = Hungry Machine

Here's a brief writeout of our moments in Langkawi..

Wednesday 12/10

Ew n i met up with the guys at around 6+pm to shop for necessities and had our dinner. Joyce joined us over at the customs, and we were pretty relieved that her parents finally allowed her to come with us. The past few days really traumatized us when her parents disapproved of her going on this trip, and we were all gan jiong whenever she and her parents engaged in negotiations to decide on her holiday fate. We wished and ah cheng prayed so hard for her.. hahaha. Shan is not so lucky afterall, her dad still insists there may be tsunamis anywhere she wanna go, so i shall not elaborate much on it. We entered JB by foot and boarded a small van, which dropped us at another destination where our bus was waiting for its passengers. Finally, at about 9pm, we set off for Langkawi, Malaysia.

Thurday 13/10 : Day 1

We reached the jetty of Langkawi at around 1040am, after a 1hr+ of ferry ride. We rented a car and tried to find our way to Holiday Villa. We made quite a number of U-turns as we often overshot the turns we were supposed to enter, as the roads and its signs are really too incorrigible for words. the sign could be placed at side of the road where it is only visible to cars heading towards one particular direction, and cars from the opposite direction would be totally clueless where the turn leads to. The roads have no laws too. Though the road is a single lane, you can cut and overtake the vehicles in front as long as the approaching lane has got no cars in view. It took us some time before locating our resort, with the help of our navigators, the guys and some native we've asked for help from. We settled down in our room, and took turns to get ourselves ready for the next funthing on our list - Island Hopping!

We went to a total of 3 islands. Played the banana boat in the freshwater lake of the first island (i've forgotten its name), and the water lives up to its name. I would have sank to its ground if not for the lifejacket i wore. HP was all hyped up while playing the banana boat and he was still as energized as ever even after the ride. My legs nearly gave way man. The 2nd destination has lotsa eagles. i overheard the conversation of the family who sat behind us, who kept insisting that the brown eagles were seagulls. Food was thrown into the water and we could see eagles swiping down onto the waters for their meals. It was quite amazing view, where many of the eagles flew close to the waters where we were situated. HP was all excited about the eagles as the theme was closely related to his She Diao Ying Xiong Zhuan. We stayed awhile at the eagle-feeding site before proceeding on to a rotting area - a beach for us to slack. We tried to force the crabbies outta their hiding places by digging the holes they were resting in, but to no avail. Anyway, we ventured into the waters and guess what! Ah cheng nearly stepped on a sea urchin!! super lucky can. HP, on the other hand, got one "present" from the sea urchin. But heng he only got one injured spot, so it wasn't tt bad. The worse part was when he told us he was stung, nobody believed him and joycie even mocked at him. hahahaa we are classmates afterall. Another unlucky victim got stung quite seriously, and we left the waters straightaway. so scary, we wouldn't know what lurks beneath the waters.

We swam for a short while in the resort's swimming pool before relenting to HP's cries for food. We drove around the area near our resort for nice and cheap food. Finally settled in some zicha-like restaurant for our dinner. WOOOOOOO.. the thai-style tomyam steamed fish was so damn nice can!!!!!!! I'll be utmost willing to eat one whole fish on my own! Hahaa.. We purchased some snacks and water and rotted in the girls' room, playing daidee and watching TV.

Friday 14/10 : Day 2

Great weather today! We woke up at 7.30am to get ready for our snorkeling trip. Reached the lobby before 9am but there was no bus to fetch us. It turned out tt the bus was supposed to pick us up at 8.05am and had already reached the jetty and the boat would leave in approximately 10mins. Miscommunication on the agents' part, as we were told to meet there at 9am, so we changed our snorkeling plans to the next day instead. We visited the Underwater World at about 10+am. The tix were sold at 38RM per pax, and tt was way expensive from what we'd expected. We loitered at the entrance until a staff approached us, and offered us a "promotional" package of 100RM for 5 pax = 20RM per pax. oooooh of coz we clinched the deal with him.. he let us in, and got the money from us at some corner within their premises. Hahaaa it was the first time we've encountered some corruptions tt closely. Tsk tsk..

Went to Cenang Beach!!! Was there earlier in the morning and i discovered a big jellyfish which was washed ashore. Hahaha i even stepped on its head. Sorry small fella, i thought u were a rock. Nice time playing and rotting there! Tried jet ski-ing and joycie even parasailed. hahaa.. soaked in the waters and searched for crabbies and shells. After our meal at some restaurant along the beach, we continued with our journey to the Temurun Waterfall. We stopped by the Seven Wells Waterfall to take the cable car ride up to the mountains. Before the cable car ride, we saw a "reserve" with many rabbits and a deer in it. SO MANY BUNNIES CANNNNN!!! They were so cute and demure, especially the white ones, which reminded me of my bunny... I wanna rear one again!!! Ok.. back to the cable cars. There were 2 destinations, one Middle Station and a Top Station. The one at the middle stands at 650m, while the higher one stands at a mighty height of 708m. There was this suspension bridge at the top where we would be hidden by the clouds if someone were to view at it from the bottom. Wahh so nice can!!!! Cooling too.. and the bridge would suay a lil every now and then. hahaha.. There were platforms for us to view the islands too.. Really a magnificent sight. On our way up and down the mountains, HP was busy screaming for help.. hahaa it was really high up there. We could see nothing but forests beneath our feets. The cable car even stopped for a moment, and i wondered whether we will tumble down into the greens. Hahaa what an exciting thought. CHOY! Saw the Seven Wells Waterfall from the cable car, and the shape of a smiley face could be seen along the coast as we ventured higher and higher. Gave up the thought of visiting the Waterfall, too tired to climb about.

Went back to the resort and washed up before going shopping and makan again. We had satays, tomyam prawn soup, veggie and some Special Omelette which took more than half an hour to reach our table. Probably more than that. They must have forgotten about the order and we had already finished eating all dishes, and purposely leave aside a sustainable amount of rice to go along with the omelette. Shopping was next. ARGH i couldn't find anything suitable for my frenz. So pek chek. Totally don't feel like shopping. Went to the Reggae Club after our short walk to watch the performance of the live band, whose members consist of the staff whom we've patronised for their jetski and parasail services. OOoooh nice music and they've got our buddha and ah cheng shaking non-stop for some time. Hahahaa their performance was so damn entertaining!!! We all laughed our heads off man! Drank abit and decided to stroll along the beach with joycie. We were there for less than 1min? and while we were on our way back to the club, 2 Swedish guys suddenly ran out of the blue and hurled us into the water. One of my poor slippers dropped and i got a feeling that it may be washed away by the waters. Bloody stupid guys. I got up to grab my slippers and ran off for our dear lives. ARGHZ gotten us all wet. Totally insane. Oh yea.. and ew has got herself a new bf from langkawi. congrats! hahaha

Saturday 15/10 : Day 3

We woke up at 630am for our snorkeling trip! This time round, it was for real! Was abit late though, as we girls spent some time packing up before checking out of the resort. We followed the van to the jetty as we were afraid that we would lose our way. We reached the jetty and left our luggage in the boot. We were supposed to pay a penalty of 20RM each for the snorkeling trip as we postponed our trip. Wahh abit not our fault lor. We kpkb until we got it our way, and off to the Marine Park we go! The ride there was quite long, about 1.5hours? The waters was soooooo damn salty. I kept sucking in the water.. ARGH! It took me and joycie a while before we could finally finish adjusting our gears in order to snorkel properly. Non-biting sharks swam in the waters and tourists could be seen feeding the fishes and sharks. The corals ain't that pretty as they were dark and gloomy in the waters. Heard from many tt this place used to be very pretty, with nice corals and all. Sad case.

We snorkeled for an hour and guess it was enough. Super tiring. Ew was strong, snorkeled without a lifejacket. Whahaa i think i will die. Had our lunch and rotted around, and HP was super excited and played with the fishies. We planned to occupy the shower rooms before anyone else could get to them, and kiasuly waited near the dock. We managed to secure 2 of the 4 shower rooms, and I've never bathed so fast in my life before! After bathing, the rest fell asleep shortly but I started to get seasick and ran to the toilet for my dear life. Haiz.. dunno why am i so weak. Can't even stand a 1hr+ ferry ride. Puked for a couple of times and i prayed hard that the next ferry ride from Langkawi back to Kedah would be much better and less jerkier than this. Unfortunately, we missed our 4.30pm ferry ride back to Kedah as the previous ferry ride was delayed a lil, causing us to reach the jetty at around 5pm. TWe took the 5.30pm ride back and we were rushing against time, as we had to board the coach at 7pm. The 2nd ferry ride was no fun at all. I seriously feel like puking again and the ride seemed like eternity. The more i try to sway along to the waves' momentum, the more my head spins, and the higher the chance an influx would occur up my throat. FINALLY, we reached Kedah and we pia for a cab. Chionged to where the coach was waiting and luckily, it was still there!! We were damn lucky. Tried calling the 3 numbers stated on the namecard to inform them we would be late. Who knows none of them were in service. I still called back to Chikuyotei for help.. haha made my colleagues gan jiong for nothing. We dozed off soon when the bus set off for SG! The coach ride was as cold as ever but luckily.. i've got blanketss this time round. arhhh they were like gifts from heaven at tt point of time.

Sunday 16/10

HP, ah cheng and I reached CWP at around 9am and had our breakfast. We chatted for about 3 hours before returning home. Wahh HP really make sense when he talks, enticing us into meaningful conversations. Haha one analogy on the pilot and janitor. Another on how to live our own pace in a fast-paced society like SG. Interesting. We're planning to visit SPCA and the farm mart some day! YAY!! Hahaa anyway, pretty glad that all of us made it through the trip happily. I miss the place and my frenz have made the trip a memorable one! Luckily i didn't oversleep and spoil the plans. haha
